Not many people know this but you can actually skip various units in your courses and even receive their credits. Well, this is indeed possible and all thanks to certain standardised subject examinations. There are various standardized subject examinations available and these cover over 150 subjects. The exams are similar to the final exams that are provided by universities and colleges and usually you will need to pay for these exams. College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
CLEP is one of the most popular credit by exam program. More than 2,900 universities and colleges give credits based on CLEP results. The exam is widely recognised by more than 2000 universities and colleges and you can get credits to pursue courses in the following subjects and related fields:

Excelsior College Examination
Excelsior exams are acceptable by more than 900 university and college for credit transfers. The exam can help you gain credit for your undergraduate or graduate course in any of the following fields.
Graduate Records Examination (GRE)
GRE is a standard admission test for graduate and business school applicants. It’s also used to assess undergraduate students and there are two types of this exam. These are subject and general testing. The test therefore evaluates the graduate in three key areas and these are verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. Your GRE could see you gain an accelerated MBA.
